W H Baker Ltd was originally founded by William Henry Baker in the late 1800's. William began his trade as a diamond merchant based at No1 Hatton Garden, London. In addition to the diamond business William started to invest in residential property in and around South East London. This portfolio grew substantially over the years and comprised of mainly apartments and houses together with some commercial premises. In 1999 brother's Simon and Daniel Baker, great grandson's to William, established W H Baker Ltd in order to continue the growth and name of the company.
W H Baker Ltd is a private company specializing in the acquisition of residential apartments and houses occupied by protected or sitting tenants. All tenanted and vacant residential property is considered within the groups purchasing criteria.
The current portfolio has now spread countrywide with properties located though out the U.K.
W H Baker Ltd has a continuous policy to repair, maintain and improve all of their properties in order to keep good tenant relationships and help preserve and enhance property values.

W H Baker Ltd act as advisers and consultants to international groups and private investors. Using their global network of connections W H Baker Ltd are able to source on and off market investment opportunities and have a strong relationship with the hospitality and hotel investment market.

About Us

Simon D. Baker is a real estate investment specialist with over 35 years’ experience across Asia and the UK/Europe. He began his career in London before joining Richard Ellis (now CBRE Thailand), where he established and led the Investment Department and served on the CBRE Asia Board.

Returning to the UK in 1998, he became a director and shareholder at Hamptons International before founding W H Baker Ltd in 1999. He advises institutional investors and private family groups on acquisitions, disposals, and strategic property investment, with a focus on discretion and long-term relationships.

Daniel Baker previously worked as a land buyer for a major UK developer and has worked with and advised a number of London local authority residential valuation departments.

Dan has over 25 years of experience in the U.K. residential investment market acting as both a principal and advisor. Dan works closely with the UK’s leading property consultants and a select number of the major FTSE property companies.
